ABA: Foundation Encourages Banks to Submit Nominations for 10th Annual Community Commitment Awards

The ABA Foundation is seeking submissions for its 10th annual Community Commitment Awards. The awards, one of the industry’s highest honors for extraordinary community engagement, recognizes innovative, high-impact bank programs that improve the quality of life for customers banks serve. The entry period for submitting nominations ends July 1.

“Over the last 10 years, ABA has recognized banks of all sizes for programs and initiatives that showcase the creativity and compassion of the industry and its commitment to serving customers and communities in need,” said ABA President and CEO Rob Nichols. “I hope banks big and small, from every corner of the country, will take the time to submit a Community Commitment Award entry and help share how their institutions are making a difference in the communities they serve. If history is any guide, this year’s submissions will serve as an inspiration and a blueprint for others within the banking industry.”

Banks interested in submitting Community Commitment Award nominations can enter into one of seven categories ranging from affordable housing to volunteerism, while the George Bailey Award recognizes an individual non-CEO banker demonstrating extraordinary commitment to their community.

Banks of all asset sizes are eligible to enter and submissions will be judged by a panel of nationally recognized experts in each category. The categories for 2022 are:
