CDFI Fund: New Dates and Registration Open for FY 2019 CDFI Bond Guarantee Program Application Workshop

Due to the Government shutdown, the CDFI Bond Guarantee Program Application Workshop previously scheduled for January 29 & 30, 2019, was canceled. This two-day workshop for potential fiscal year (FY) 2019 Qualified Issuer and Guarantee applicants has been rescheduled for February 25 & 26, 2019, and will be co-sponsored with and hosted by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Please note that those who registered for the first workshop must re-register for this workshop.

The CDFI Fund will also be extending the Qualified Issuer and Guarantee Application Deadlines to a date in March 2019. The CDFI Fund will announce those dates as soon as possible by updating its website and sending a notice via GovDelivery.

During the workshop, CDFI Fund staff will review the CDFI Bond Guarantee Program’s structure and include in-depth discussions on the following topics:

Attendees will be provided ample opportunity to ask the CDFI Fund staff questions, and receive clarification about workshop material.

As the workshops will be held in a secure federal building, registration is required. The workshop is free of charge; however, due to limited space, registration will be honored on a first come, first served basis. Up to fifty (50) participants may attend.

WHAT: Qualified Issuer and Guarantee Application Workshop

WHEN: March 25 & 26, 2019
The first day of the workshop will include: Introduction to the CDFI Bond Guarantee Program, Program Requirements, Structure, and Participants, Qualified Issuer Application and Evaluation Process, Guarantee Application and Evaluation Process, Application and Closing Timelines, and Program Reporting Requirements. The second day will include: CDFI Bond Guarantee Program General Recourse Secured Structure Discussions, including Alternative Financing Entity and Alternative Financing Structures Application Overviews; Financing in Rural Communities and use of the Rural Infrastructure Lending Asset Class as well as a discussion of the Post-Issuance Requisition Process.

TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There is a 90 minute break for lunch. Lunch is not provided.
