CDFI Fund: Virtual Public Meeting of the CDFI Fund’s Advisory Board Scheduled for August 27th

The Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund) is convening a meeting of the Community Development Advisory Board (the Advisory Board) from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time on Thursday, August 27, 2020. This meeting will be conducted virtually.

The function of the Advisory Board is to advise the Director of the CDFI Fund on the policies regarding the activities of the CDFI Fund. The Advisory Board does not advise the CDFI Fund on approving or declining any particular application for monetary or non-monetary awards.

This virtual meeting of the Advisory Board is open to the public and free of charge. Members of the public who wish to view this virtual meeting must register in advance.

Agenda

The Advisory Board meeting will include: a report from the CDFI Fund Director on the activities of the CDFI Fund since the last Advisory Board meeting; presentations from two Advisory Board subcommittees on recommendations related to CDFI Certification and Persistent Poverty Counties; and two panel discussions. The first panel discussion will focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic distress faced by CDFIs and how they have responded. The second panel will discuss the future needs of CDFIs and the clients and communities they serve.
