The U.S. Census Bureau will mail out instructions for filing out the 2017 Economic Census to businesses nationwide in early May.
Approximately 3.7 million U.S. businesses nationwide, including those in U.S. territories, will receive information by mail with instructions to set up an account to complete their economic census online. The deadline for response is June 12.
Every five years, the Census Bureau collects information about businesses that are essential to understanding the American economy. The economic census services as the most comprehensive source of data related to business activity that serves as the foundation for the measurement of the U.S. businesses and their economic impact.
