Census Bureau: First in Series of 2020 Census Quality Reports Released

The U.S. Census Bureau today released the first two of more than 65 reports from its 2020 Census Evaluations and Experiments (EAE) operation designed to assess the quality of 2020 Census programs and operations and test new methods suggested from previous research.

These studies include evaluations, experiments, operational assessments, quality control profiles and a topic report. Conclusions and recommendations will play a key role in the design, research, testing and implementation of the 2030 Census.

The first two reports provide information about expected versus actual cost, schedule and workloads of the 2020 In-Office Address Canvassing and 2020 In-Field Address Canvassing operations as well as lessons learned and recommendations for future decennial address frame development activities.

The Census Bureau will release remaining 2020 Census EAE reports through 2025 as results are analyzed and made available. The schedule of upcoming releases is available on the EAE webpage.
