FEMA: President Biden Amends Puerto Rico Disaster Declaration

FEMA announced today that additional disaster assistance is available to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico through an increase in the level of federal funding for Public Assistance projects undertaken in the Commonwealth as a result of Hurricane Fiona during the period of Sept. 17-21, 2022.

The federal share for debris removal and emergency protective measures, including direct federal assistance, has been increased to 90% percent of total eligible costs — except assistance previously approved at 100% — for a period of 30 days from the start of the incident period.
