§__.12(u)(2) Institution Asset Size Threshold Adjustment

§__.12(u)(2) – 1

Q: How often will the asset size thresholds for small institutions and intermediate small institutions be changed, and how will these adjustments be communicated?

A1. The asset size thresholds for “small institutions” and “intermediate small institutions” will be adjusted annually based on changes to the Consumer Price Index. More specifically, the dollar thresholds will be adjusted annually based on the year-to- year change in the average of the Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, not seasonally adjusted for each 12-month period ending in November, with rounding to the nearest million. Any changes in the asset size thresholds will be published in the Federal Register. Historical and current asset-size threshold information may be found on the FFIEC’s Web site at https://www.ffiec.gov/cra.
