CFPB: Get Money Smart

Here at the CFPB, we support Money Smart Week (April 22–29) as part of Financial Literacy Month. Throughout the United States, consumers like you are invited to thousands of free financial education classes and seminars held by local and regional organizations. The classes and seminars cover a wide variety of money-management topics such as buying a house, credit management, saving for college, and financing retirement. Check out Money Smart Week online to find events in your area.

While Money Smart Week takes up only seven of the 365 days in a year, you can also be money smart all year long with our online tips and information. Our goal is to arm people with the information, steps, and tools that they need to make informed financial decisions for their personal situation and goals.

From setting up a bank account to taking out a student loan, we know it’s helpful to have trustworthy resources available as you navigate important money decisions.
