HUD: Disaster Assistance Announced for Delaware Disaster Survivors

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today announced the implementation of federal disaster assistance for areas in the State of Delaware affected by the remnants of Hurricane Ida from September 1 to September 7, 2021.

On October 25, President Biden issued a major disaster declaration, making federal funding available to state and eligible local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the remnants of Hurricane Ida in New Castle County.

Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide. Effective immediately, HUD is:
