Census Bureau: New StatVentures Competition Announced

The U.S. Census Bureau’s Census Open Innovation Labs today announced the launch of Phase 1 of the Address Geolocation Challenge, a new StatVentures competition. Phase 1 rules and requirements are available now on Challenge.gov. Interested applicants can submit applications from March 11 through April 19.

The Address Geolocation Challenge invites the public to propose new ways to produce more complete, accurate, timely and granular data on the locations of residential addresses in the United States, especially in rural and remote locations.

StatVentures scouts technology through collaborations with innovators outside of government to ensure the Census Bureau continues to provide the highest quality data.

All U.S.-based nongovernmental entities or individuals prepared to demonstrate viability are invited to submit concept notes.

Applications accepted March 11-April 19.

Apply on Challenge.gov.
