Census Bureau: Second Release of 2018 American Community Survey 1-Year Data Now Available

Today, the U.S. Census Bureau released the remaining profiles and tables for the 2018 American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year estimates. Data products for this release include Selected Population Profiles and Subject Tables. These profiles and tables can be found via the Census Bureau’s new data dissemination platform at data.census.gov.

Included in this release are two more data visualization tools: “What can you learn about metro areas from the American Community Survey?” and “What can you learn about congressional districts from the American Community Survey?” These visualizations let users explore data for some of the most popular topics from the 2018 ACS, including income, poverty and health insurance.

This data release also includes a metro area commute to work map. This interactive map shows mean travel time to work for metro areas across the country.

In the upcoming months, the Census Bureau will release additional ACS data, including ACS 5-year statistics (2014-2018) and 2018 1-year supplemental estimates.
