HUD: Disaster Assistance Announced for Missouri Disaster Survivors

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) today announced the implementation of federal disaster assistance to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas of Missouri affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, and tornadoes on December 10, 2021. 

On January 11, President Biden issued a major disaster declaration for Bollinger, Dunklin, Iron, Madison, Pemiscot, Reynolds, and Wayne Counties.

Federal funding, provided by FEMA, is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures statewide. Effective immediately, HUD is:
